2015 GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

VEHICLE SPECS

• Any REAR WHEEL drive street car or small truck
• Any FRONT WHEEL drive street car with four or six cylinders only (NO front wheel drive v8’s)
• Any ½ ton 2 wheel drive pickups
• NO 4WD/AWD vehicles allowed
• American or Foreign Made
• Unlimited motor modifications...
• Studs are allowed on the NON drive tires only (on front wheel drive cars, studs are allowed on the rear tires only, and on rear wheel drive, studs are allowed on the front tires only)

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

1.)  Must have bright red or amber lights VISIBLE from the REAR, OUTSIDE of the car, that stay ON AT ALL TIMES.
2.)  BIODEGRADABLE ANTIFREEZE ONLY
3.)  Vehicles must have working brakes (3) three wheel minimum.
4.)  Vehicles must have usable seat belts WITH shoulder straps for BOTH driver and co-pilot.
5.)  Fire Extinguisher.
6.)  Front doors must have secondary lock to prevent from opening (chains with hook, side latch, or seat belt latch).
7.)  All unnecessary parts must be removed from the car (Headlights, tail lights, trim molding, etc.)
8.)  Front and rear bumpers are REQUIRED. Made of steel strong enough to pull or push the car. Fiberglass and plastic bumpers must be removed or modified with steel.
9.)  All bumpers must have rounded corners.
10.)  Bumpers are not to exceed 1 inch past the body line.
11.)  Rub bars are not to exceed 4 inches past the body line.
12.)  All rear bumpers must be 15 inches off the ground and at least 21 inches high. If any bumper needs lowering, a brace extension or a loop at least 4 feet wide can be used in the middle of the car. Any upper loop is NOT to exceed the top of the hood or trunk lid.
13.)  All vehicles must have a paint job of 75% dark or bright colors (no white, silver, light tan, etc.)
14.)  Car number’s must be a contrasting color and in a large, bold font.
15.)  ALL lead wheel weights must be removed.
16.)  Any and all weight added to the vehicles must be secured down in some manner. NO weight can be added to the outside of car, such as, roof, hood, trunk lid, bumpers, etc.
17.)  Air ONLY in tires.
18.)  Fuel cells suggested. Bolted down with straps in the truck area and sealed off from the driver’s compartment. However, gas tanks under car and fuel cells in back seat may be accepted with approval. Gas tanks positioned in front of the rear axle in stock position are accepted.
19.)  Fuel line inside of cars must be enclosed front to back of driver’s compartment with PVC / metal conduit / piping.
20.)  All cars must have windshields. (cracks will be excepted – shattered glass will NOT).
21.)  Both front doors are required to have glass or window nets. (Netting may be made of seat belt straps (2) horizontal and (2) vertical).
22.)  Both driver’s and passenger’s front doors are required to have door protection (added reinforcement – inside or outside, no sharp edges outside)
23.)  ALL CARS are required to pass inspection.
 

DRIVER, CO-PILOT, & PIT CREW RULES

  1. Driver and co-pilot wear helmets.

  2. Driver and co-pilot wear seat belts.

  3. Drivers, co-pilots, and pit crew are responsible for keeping the track and pit area clean of debris (car parts, fluids, garbage, beverage containers, etc.)

  4. All racing is done once you cross the checkered flag. Drivers must slow to a reasonable pace.

  5. Absolutely (subject to penalties).

  6. Driver and co-pilot are required to be present at all pit meetings.

  7. Drivers and Co-pilots must . If car stalls, or gets stuck in a snow bank, driver and co-pilot must remain in the car until racing has stopped. Keep all your body parts inside the vehicle at ALL TIMES (head, arms, elbows, etc.)

  8. No intentional ramming of another car. It is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

  9. There is a 2 spin rule (cause two yellows, you're out for the current race).

  10.  Cars may cross the finish line any way needed to count for position (forwards, backwards, sideways, etc.)

  11. During red flag stoppage of the race, if needed, you may go into the pits for repair, but must be back on the track at the start of the parade lap and start in the back.

  12. NO ALCOHOL allowed in pits.

  13. The driver must be a part of the association to qualify for the end of the year point fund.

  14. All complaints are to be brought to the Association Board.

  15. NO Arguing / Fighting.

  16. The Board will make ALL FINAL decisions regarding point deductions and penalties on drivers.

 

RACE DAY INFO

  • Registration starts @ 11am.

  • Driver’s Meeting @ 11:30am.

  • Racing starts @ noon.

  • ENTRY FEES

    • $20 Driver/Car Fee per day

    • $5 Pit Entrance/Passenger Fee per day

    • FREE general spectator entrance & parking

    • $10 Association Membership Fee optional

                      A yearly fee that will give you the right to bring forth issues/concerns & vote.

  • All driver entries must be paid prior to the driver’s meeting. Entry fees paid after will be put in the back of the heat – no exceptions.

  • The heats will be 8 laps. Maximum time limit for the heats will be 15 minutes.

  • There are 15 laps for the feature race.

  • There will be both heat and feature points.

  • There will be an extra 10 points awarded for a clean sweep.  This means winning all of your heat races and the feature.

  • ALL points earned will go to the car.
